Falmouth University startup secures £492k from Innovate UK
Falmouth University’s Launchpad has recently announced that its Amutri programme has successfully secured a grant of £492,000. The Amutri programme specializes in simplifying the 3D visualization process for designers and organizations, enabling them to save time, reduce costs, and attract more clients.
Thanks to the Smart Grant award, Amutri will embark on a 12-month industrial research project to develop an innovative immersive 3D visualization product. This groundbreaking product aims to provide a user-friendly platform that transforms Computer-aided design (CAD) and Building Information Modeling (BIM) files into ready-to-use digital assets and 3D experiences within seconds.
Innovate UK, a leading innovation agency, awarded the grant to Amutri due to its ambitious and disruptive innovations that have the potential to make a significant impact on not only the UK economy but also beyond.
Amutri’s chief executive, Michael Calver, brings with him over two decades of experience in designing and building advanced 3D visualization and simulation technologies. He has been a pioneer in leveraging gaming technologies for non-gaming applications across various industries.
Expressing his excitement, Mr. Calver stated, “The Amutri team is thrilled to have secured the grant from Innovate UK. The demand for interactive 3D experiences has been rapidly increasing as it has the potential to revolutionize entire industries. Our goal is to remove the barriers that companies face in complex, lengthy, and expensive 3D content creation processes. This grant will support our ambition to significantly lower the entry point to 3D visualization technology.”
Amutri’s technology has already undergone successful trials with leading design, engineering, and real estate companies worldwide. This new investment will empower them to reach even more customers who seek a quick and cost-effective solution for producing stunning 3D experiences.
The adoption of 3D visualization has become increasingly prevalent among design and social media teams, enabling them to enhance customer engagement. Retailers, in particular, have embraced this technology to improve both in-store and online experiences.
With the support of the Innovate UK grant, Amutri is set to make a substantial impact in the world of 3D visualization technology, offering a game-changing solution to industries across the board.
